Your followers aren't an audience. They're a waiting room nobody's called into.

Monday, 10pm. 3,400 followers. 14 of them replied to today's story with a fire emoji. You liked the replies and went to bed, because "hey, want to hop on a call?" felt like a cold DM and you'd rather die. This vault is 25 DMs written for people who already know you, sorted by the trigger (story reply, comment, poll vote, old client), each one three messages from hello to a booked slot.

These are DMs you send tonight, not "engagement strategy". Two of the 25, exactly as written.

DM 3 · Trigger: replied to a story with an emoji
"Ha, the fire's appreciated. Curious though, which bit hit? The '2 calls a week' part or the '7 in a day' part? Asking because those are two very different problems and I write about both. A one-word answer is fine, I'll know exactly what you mean."

Why it works: An emoji is a knock on the door. Most coaches heart it and walk away. This turns the knock into a conversation by asking a question that only has two answers, both of which tell you what they want. No pitch. No "let's hop on a call." Just curiosity, which is the one thing nobody can refuse.

DM 3, message 3 · The book
"Got it. So you're at about 2 a week and they're all referrals. That's exactly the thing I fixed for a business coach in Pune, went from 2 a week to 7 in a day by day 21. I'm not going to pitch you in a DM. If you want, I'll do 20 minutes on a call, look at what you've got, and tell you honestly whether it's a quick fix or a rebuild. Here's the calendar, pick a slot that suits: [link]. If not, no stress, keep replying to the stories."

Why it works: It names their number back, gives one specific proof, refuses to pitch, offers a small, honest outcome ("tell you whether it's a quick fix or a rebuild"), and hands over a self-serve link with a graceful out. Three messages, one link, zero cringe.

That's 2 of 25. The other 23, covering comments, poll votes, new follows, old clients, "how much?" DMs and the ones who ghost mid-conversation, are in the PDF below.

The Warm DM Vault: what you actually get.

1

Who's warm

The 6 triggers that mean someone's ready to be messaged, and the 3 that mean leave them alone.

2

Trigger 1 and 2, story replies and comments

8 DMs for the emoji, the "so true", the "how?" and the tag-a-friend.

3

Trigger 3 and 4, polls and new follows

6 DMs that turn a poll vote or a follow into a two-line conversation.

4

Trigger 5, old clients and past leads

5 DMs for people who paid you before, or almost did, that never sound like a sales call.

5

Trigger 6, the ones who DM you first

6 DMs for "how much?", "do you do X?", "I loved your post" and the mid-conversation ghost.

6

The 20-minute daily routine

When to post, when to reply, when to send the link, so DMs become a calendar and not a hobby.

Be honest

Be honest. This is your inbox.

→

Fourteen story replies. You hearted all fourteen. That was the whole conversation.

→

Someone commented "I need this" on your post. You replied "Thank you so much!" and they never heard from you again.

→

A client from 2024 liked your reel. You thought "I should message him." You didn't. That was three weeks ago.

→

Someone DMed "how much is your coaching?" and you sent four paragraphs and a PDF. Blue ticks. Nothing.

→

You typed "hey, would you be open to a quick call?", read it back, felt like a Ponzi scheme, deleted it.

None of that is a confidence problem. It's a script problem, because a warm DM is not a cold DM and you've been using the same fear for both. This vault is the scripts.

Questions you're probably asking

Not one of the 25 DMs pitches in the first message. They ask a question, reflect something back, or give something. The link only appears in message 3, and only after they've told you what they want. What looks salesy is "hey, want to hop on a call?" as an opener. What looks human is curiosity. This is curiosity with a structure.
800 followers who chose to follow you is a warmer list than 80,000 who saw an ad. At 800, you probably get 3 to 6 story replies a week. Run the vault on all of them and you're having 20 real conversations a month with people who already trust you. That's more than most coaches with 20,000 followers manage.
DM 20 handles it. You tell them the number, one line, and then ask a question about their situation. Hiding the price makes you look like you're ashamed of it. Saying it and moving on makes you look like you've said it a thousand times, which is what a ₹1L coach should sound like.
The triggers are different (post reactions, comments, profile views, connection accepts) but the structure is identical: reflect, ask one question, then the link. The PDF's last section maps the six triggers to LinkedIn equivalents. Tone is slightly more formal, count of messages is the same. Three.

The vault turns followers into calls. Something still has to bring in the followers.

That's the part we build. A done-for-you engine: positioning, offer, sales video script, funnel, pre-qualification, booking, nurture and ads. Live in 14 days, then fully automated. 5 to 7 ready-to-invest calls a day. 100+ in 30 days, or you don't pay. You show up and close.
